Spain Photo Journal

July 11th, 2025 | ZC | Culture

This spring my wife and I traveled to Spain, spending most of our time in the city of Barcelona and touring around the many small towns the island of Mallorca has to offer. Neither of us had been to Spain before and had a healthy wish list to fulfill, as well as a strong desire to experience a new place without an agenda.

We visited many notable spaces by Arquitecto Antoni Gaudi and reveled in the relentless attention to texture. We stumbled upon a lecture by our favorite American Cartoonist, Chris Ware, and had the opportunity to be some of the first to visit a chronological exhibit of his life’s work to date. This collection of photos represents moments from Basilica de la Sagrada Familia, Casa Battle, Casa Mila, Palau Guell, as well as snippets from across the Mallorcan countryside and coast line.
